The first tablet from Packard Bell has just been announced. The Liberty Tab tablet is available in black and burgundy red.
Let’s take a closer look at the Liberty Tab. The tablet will be available in June 2011, powered by NVIDIA’s dual-core Tegra 2 processor, and running the Android Honeycomb operating system. The tablet has an HDMI port, regular USB port, and mini USB port. The Liberty Tab supports up to 32GB microSD cards. The tablet will be available in two versions, the 3G and 3G plus Wi-Fi. The exact price for the UK market is not yet revealed. But it seems that Packard Bell will follow anything that Acer do, including in term of setting the price of its tablets. Acer had just announced its A500 that costs £449 (Wi-Fi only model) and £529 (3G model), so we can predict that the price of Liberty Tab will be in the same range.
